UBY is a family-owned winery & distillery nestled in the heart of the South-West vineyards, on the hillsides of Gascony. The land has been home to both vineyards and cereal crops for over a century. Deep knowledge of the terroir is what enabled François Morel to choose a balanced, sustainable farming approach—tailored to the soil and climate of our region.

At the heart of the estate lies the UBY pond, a rare and protected habitat that’s home to some of Europe’s last remaining European pond turtles (Cistudes). It’s no coincidence that the turtle is the symbol of our brand—it represents our deep commitment to sustainability.
